So all my wonderful 116 new readers, I would be very excited if you grabbed my button and put it on your blog.

Children's Clip Earrings Giveaway!!! (this giveaway is now closed)

A couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law and I were talking about our little girls that don't have their ears pierced yet and how they want earrings but they don't want the pain of getting their little ears pierced.
I was on the search for hidden treasure at Etsy and look what I found. I found a shop called UUendyandFriends and she has TONS of little girl earrings that can be either clip or pierced. Actually she has so many little girls earrings to choose from it takes 8 pages of her shop for all of them.

I contacted Wendy and she was kind enough to send me some cupcake earrings to review and let me tell you they are so very cute.
I asked Wendy to tell me a little about herself and this is what she had to say:

How did you start making earrings? I have been making "something" pretty much all my life. I got into jewelry 2 years ago when the company I work for full time got hit with the economy. I was very lucky to have a boss who not only let me make the jewelry at my desk but, allowed me to display and sell it also. A couple of those customers made comments about little girl dress up earrings. I had already made the angel earrings and found the pierced look findings. It took me a bit longer to find clips with pads and from there it was "easy-peasey". Years ago I used to buy any buttons that I thought would make cute earrings and converted them into pierced. I wore and sold a lot of those. This was just a new take on that.

How long has your shop been open? My store has been open since 2007 but, not seriously active until late 2008.

Do you take custom orders? I will consider all custom orders. I do all kinds of crafts so, it's hard to say what I can do for someone until we have had a lot of discussion. I have had one fail because I didn't stick to my instruction. Most of the earrings can be changed to pierce or clip and gold or silver plate depending on how they are listed and if I have the button available unglued.

Do you have another Etsy shop? I have another Etsy store http://www.uuendysstash.etsy.com/ where
I sell my "leftovers". I have a closet full of items including vintage that I would like to list but, right now the earrings are taking my "spare" time.

Buy It - UUendyandFriends not only have more children's earrings than you could ever imagine but they also have adult earrings, bracelets, book marks, and baby blankets.

Win It - UUendyandFriends is offering one of my readings their choice of one pair of children's clip-on earrings and this includes the angels.

Beaded Silverware Giveaway!!! (this giveaway is now closed)

Are you ready to hear about the coolest gifts ever? Have you ever heard of beaded silverware? One day one of my adoptive friends called me and said "Sarah, do you think I could sell beaded silverware to get our daughter home?" I had no idea what she was talking about, I had never heard of beaded silverware.
Now I think either my mom or I are her biggest fans and have bought so much of this because it is the PERFECT gift for anyone. This really is the one thing that you could give to anyone and they will be amazed at the beauty of it and how unique it is. I bought this for all my kids teachers for Christmas and for my nieces and nephews.

Pictures really do her silverware no justice at all. Her camera does not nearly pick up the beauty of this silverware.
My 2 year old nephew walked around with his set (like the one I'm giving away) for 2 days because he loved it so much.
The best part about this is, that this shop was all started just to bring home a little girl with special needs from China to a family that is going to love her like you wouldn't believe.
One little boy knew he had a sister waiting in China that looked like him and his mom knew she had to do something to get that little girl home.
Buy It - Every piece of silverware you buy is one step closer for a little girl living in an orphanage in China to be home with her forever family. Go to Beading To China blog and spend time looking through all the old posts to see what she has. If Holly doesn't have just what your looking for she will make it if you ask. Holly has her email address and the prices on the sidebar of her blog, to order just email her. Holly is out of town for a week so make sure you are a little patient in her emailing you back.
Win It - You have a chance of having some of this amazing piece of art in your home. I am giving away to one very lucky winner this very, very cute frog set pictured below. This will make any child super excited.

Mandatory Entry (this must be done before any other entry qualifies) - Go visit the Beading To China Blog and come back leaving me a comment with your favorite item. Make sure to spend time scrolling through her old posts to see all the amazing work she does.

*YOU MUST LEAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOU COMMENT SO I CAN CONTACT YOU IF YOUR THE WINNER.
Extra Entries (mandatory entry must be done before you can gain any extra entries) -
Don't forget that if it says (3) entries that you must leave 3 comments!
1. Follow my blog and comment letting me know you do - (3) entries
2. On The Beading To China blog click on the About button on her sidebar and tell me something you learned about Holly's story - (3) entries
3. Blog about this giveaway leaving me a comment with the link to your post - (5) entries
4. Order anything from Holly and come back letting me know what you ordered - (10) entries
At the end of the giveaway I will contact the winner by email and you will have 48 hours to respond to the email before I pick a new winner.
5. Enter any of my other giveaways - (1) entry for each giveaway you have entered.
This giveaway will end on March 10, 2010 and is open to everyone including INTERNATIONAL readers. I will choose a winner using a random number generator so make sure to leave a comment for each entry.

Body Whip Giveaway and a HUGE THANK YOU!!! (this giveaway is now closed)

You guys are AWESOME!!!

The giveaway I have for you today I personally ordered a couple of weeks ago to use as a way to get followers to my blog. I really wanted to start reviewing things but I didn't feel it was fair to ask shop owners to let me review things until I had at least 25 followers.

In one week alone I have gone from 12 followers to over 50. I went from posting everyone else's giveaways to now having several Etsy shops sending me items to review. I also want to thank all these Etsy shops that are giving me this opportunity to share and host giveaways of things that they have worked very hard to create.

So all you followers and all those that I'm sure are going to go click to follow now because you don't want to miss this giveaway, this giveaway is all for you my new friends.

Back in December I won a giveaway that I didn't know I won. Six weeks later the lady finally got ahold of me on my other blog (she is very kind because I only give you guys 48 hours to respond). This kind lady though had no idea that when she happened to throw in a little sample of her body whip in the package with the giveaway that she would have a customer that would be telling the world about her product.

I tried this Body Whip on my hands and the only thing I could compare it to is a time when I went and had that wonderful spa hand wax dip done. Oh my, this body whip makes your hands feel silky smooth for a few hours. The morning after I got the sample I woke up to dry hands and I knew I had to order some right away. I decided to order 2 though because I wanted to share one with one of my followers.

Hold on a minute.........I think I need some on now that I'm talking about it. Did I tell you this is the best stuff ever? It also goes such a long way that 2 weeks later only 1/2 of the sample is gone.

You really need to go check out Willow Ridge Soap Company and see all she has to offer. You won't believe all the scents you can choose from.

Things she has to offer are:
Bath Accessories
Bath Bombs
Body Whip (trust me you want some of this)
Gift Items
Handmade Soap
Lip Butter
Scratch & Dent Items
Soy Wax Tarts

Buy It -Ashley is offering my readers 10% off if you place an order at Willow Ridge Soap Company. You must use the code "SARAH" to get your 10% off. Ashley is also offering free shipping if you spend $75 or more. Coupon is valid until March 30, 2010. Ashley emailed me and said that if you are interested in ordering just a body whip that you might want to order from her Etsy store because she only offers flat rate shipping on her regular site.

Win It - You my friend have a chance to win one Very Vanilla Body Whip for yourself. WARNING - You will be hooked!

Mandatory Entry - This giveaway is for my wonderful followers ONLY. If you don't follow yet all you have to do is go to the right sidebar and click follow. You do not have to be a blogger to follow.

*You must leave your email address in your comment so I can contact you if your the winner.

Extra Entries (mandatory entry must be done before you can gain extra entries)-

Pounce

How many of you use the pounce button on Etsy? I LOVE the pounce button!

If you don't know what pounce is then you need to go to www.etsy.com and look for the pounce button on the left side. You then can choose to look for undiscovered items or items that just had a sale.

Pounce is a great way to find awesome things. With sooooo many shops on Etsy there is no way you could ever think of everything that would interest you. By pouncing you find things you would have never thought to look for.

Go pounce and let me know what you find!

Giveaway by Shaping Lives Pottery!!! (This Giveaway Is Now Over)

I am sooooo excited about this giveaway and this is why:

1. I have a thing for handmade pottery. If I am anywhere and someone is selling handmade pottery I just have to stop and look.

2. This Etsy shop is by a TEEN with an amazing talent.

3. The owner of this shop has a huge heart for the orphan.

I now get to introduce you to Mallory from Shaping Lives Pottery. Please take time to read her interview because you will not want to miss what she has to say (you may also need to know something for an entry at the end).

When did you open your Etsy shop? I started my etsy in August of 2009, and I have had a great experience since.

I noticed in the profile of your shop that you donate a portion of your sales to a family adopting. How has adoption touched your life? Adoption has really touched my life because my little brother is adopted. My mom felt God's call to adopt years ago and really felt called to children with special needs. My dad wasn't on board at first but over time and lots of prayer my dad felt the call from God also. We have actually had a really rough adoption road. We were in the middle of an international adoption for a little girl in the Ukraine when we got a call about a little boy (my brother) here in the states. My parents were not pursuing a domestic adoption at all. They prayed about this little boy and felt God's call to say "yes" and adopt him. He is from Florida and has Down Syndrome. Well my parents then continued with the Ukraine adoption and when they actually got to Ukraine and met her there were alot more disabilities and problems my parents didn't know about. They prayed and prayed and couldn't understand why but decided not to adopt the little girl. She would have needed 24 hour care and that wouldn't be fair to the rest of us kids. So they came home and a couple days after they came home found out the little girl had another family and they were going to get her in March We felt that God used my parents to keep that little girl safe and out of an institution for the family that is really supposed to be her family. My parents know God had had and has a plan for our family. We pray we will be able to adopt again soon, and that God will use our family as a testimony for those children. God bless!

Can you tell me how old you are? I have recently turned 17, but started pottery when I was 7 and have done it on and off until recently (the past 2 years).

What is your favorite item in your shop? Actually I have a couple of favorite items. Some I have chosen to keep for my family and I, but my favorite pieces in the shop right now would have to be the three little boxes. They are so cute and I could see them holding spices or something in the kitchen.

I also saw in your profile that you have another Etsy shop called Sweet Potato Sacks. Can you tell me a little about your other shop? My other etsy is a store I have had for awhile and put things that aren't pottery that I make. I have recently started the flower brooches and headbands. My style is very vintage/romantic and I think each flower has a little bit of "me" in them. I love to keep my creative side going so I am constantly starting new project. This is my favorite (besides pottery)so far. I hope ya'll enjoy my shop.

Buy It - You would just make Mallory's day if you went and purchased something from one of her her shops. I can tell you from personal experience with her that you will not be disappointed!
You also get extra entries if you purchase something.

Win It - See this beautiful, beautiful spoon rest above? Mallory has been kind enough to offer this as a giveaway. Mallory has also told me that she is willing to ship ANYWHERE so that means this giveaway is open to international readers too. Thank you Mallory!

Fundraiser For Sophia

One thing I will be doing on this blog is posting about adoption fundraisers. I am very passionate about adoption & special needs adoption.

Did you know there are more than 147 million orphans in the world that need a loving home? Many people want to adopt but the cost can be very high and that's why it's so important to me to share with you those people that are working hard to bring children into a loving family.

I would love for you to go to www.savingsofia.blogspot.com, read there story and check out their fundraiser.

This week a friend is helping by selling custom children's books to help with the cost of their adoption.

So click on this button and check it out.

$20 Gift Certificate Giveaway to Inspired Life Design (This Giveaway Is Now Over)

I am so excited to be hosting a giveaway for Inspired Life Designs Etsy shop! She was kind enough to be my first Etsy store to let me host a giveaway for, but the reason I am so excited is because I have bought from her store and LOVE it.

Our son Jaxson is 4 and I had searched and searched for a year and a half to find him a belt. Every time we went to the store he would say "Momma, do they have a belt here." I then found this very cool Etsy store and he was even able to pick out which one he wanted. Jaxson picked the farm Sookie Wrap (belt).

I asked Michelle about her shop and this is what she had to say:

How did you start making Sookie Wraps (belts)? I started by making a belt for my 4 year old daughter. I couldn't find a belt for her unless it came with a pair of pants that I purchased. So I started with a double d-ring belt, but she couldn't do it herself. So I decided to go to Velcro, and the Sookie Wrap was born. It was also important to me in designing this belt that it would also grow with her, so it has 3 inches of adjustment room. There is nothing worse than buying something that you love for your child and you turn around and they have grown out of it.

When did you open you Etsy shop? I have been a member on Etsy since June 2009. I can't believe I had never come across it before then. And I opened my shop in December 2009.

Can you tell me the most popular item is you sell in your shop? For the majority of the time that I have had my shop open I have only had the Sookie Wraps (original)listed, and they have had a great response. Recently I have added other items and they are doing great as well. I added Solanna Wraps as I was getting requests from moms that wanted belts too. The buckles I love as it gets me away from the sewing machine for awhile, and the sky is the limit as to what you can put in the buckle. The toy straps and soother clips I created out of necessity for my 10 month old son and as a way of expanding my business with the supplies I was already using.

Do you do custom orders? I love custom orders. I have recently made some Sookie D Wraps for adults. Both Sookie Wrap styles are great belts if you have hand dexterity problems, physical ailments, and cognitive issues, or for rehabilitation patients.

I want to jump in here and add to that for all you mommy's of special needs kiddos. Jaxson only has one arm and he is able to put the belt on by himself with no problem.

You told me you have a new belt with a D-ring, can you tell me a little about this item? I created this belt as my daughter was having a hard time getting the original style tightened. When she was doing up her winter boots one day, they have this same system of leverage with Velcro and a d-ring. So I adapted it to the belt and made it so that it too has up to three inches of adjustment room.

What is your favorite Etsy shop other than yours? Wow, that is hard, I love everything about Etsy! I definitely can't have just one, so I would have to say some of my favorites, are; littlesaplingtoys, DreamGallery, longwinterfarm, happyfamily, buttercuppityfabric.

Buy It - Michelle at Inspired Life Designs was kind enough to offer my readers 15% off if they order something from her during this giveaway. You can order from her website by clicking on the button below and entering the coupon code hiddentreasures. If you can order through her Etsy shop she we refund your 15% once your payment goes through if you leave a note telling her that you follow my blog in the notes to seller at checkout.

A Little About Me

Since I have a lot of new followers I thought I would share a little about our family so you can get to know us a little.

This is my cutie pie husband who I love dearly and have been married to for 11 1/2 years now.
These are my 3 silly kids ages 6, 4 & 4. Two of them came the old fashioned way and one of them grew in our hearts but happened to be born on the other side of the world. Our little miracle from the other side of the world just happened to be born with one arm and he is truly amazing. This is our playful, curious, very cute Cavalier girl who hopefully sometime this year will be having very cute babies. Little Miss Kai Kai also LOVE the snow! This is our shy, laid back, too timid to get in trouble, handsome Cavalier boy who keeps my feet very warm during the night. I am a stay-at-home momma who loves God, love my family and who is passionate about adoption and special needs adoption (the real hidden treasures of the world).
Thank you all for being my friends and I hope we have fun together on this blog. WELCOME!!!

What I Got In The Mail Today

Last week I got a comment on my other blog that I had won a giveaway back in December that for some reason I missed the blog post saying I won. I was very excited when I found out that one of the prizes was a dog collar because I was looking for a collar last week.

I have to say I am very excited about my package that I got full of goodies from the Willow Ridge Soap Co. blog.

In the package were these beautiful handmade cards from eMelles Designs.

These Beautiful handmade mittens for me not my kids from Hook Mi Up!".

This beautiful, very well made collar for Kai Kai made by Furry Paws Boutique. I think I will be ordering one for Snickers too. These are so much nicer than what you get at the store.

My favorite thing though in the package was some samples she sent me from Willow Ridge Soap Co. She sent a sample bar of Black Raspberry Vanilla Soap and then this AMAZING, AMAZING Very Vanilla Body Whip. I put just a dab on my hands after I fixed dinner and 2 hours later my hands still feel like silk. I don't know what she makes this stuff out of but I have never used anything even close to it. I am in love with this body whip!!! Go check out her store and maybe even spoil yourself with some body whip for yourself at www.willowridgesoapco.com .

If you have kids please go sign up for this giveaway. We have these for our kids after we lost one of the girls at a county fair one time. Our kids love to wear these and you put their emergency information on the inside. In my opinion this is something every small child should have when you go to places that are easy to get separated. I am a very overprotective mom and I would have never thought I could have lost one of my children.

Go on over to Girly Girl giveaways and get sign up.

Giant Fortune Cookie Giveaway

I can't believe I almost missed this giveaway! My friend Rett told me she hoped to win this so I asked her where to find the giveaway and it was as one of my favorite giveaway blogs.

Anyway isn't this awesome?

If you want a chance to win this head on over to The B Keeps Us Honest. Don't tell Rett I sent you though because she really wants to win it.
