Did you know National Teacher Day is May 4th? When I found this out I went on the search for gifts for teachers. I have a friend that's a 5th grade English teacher and when I saw these necklaces I knew right away she would get very excited. Don't you just love these?

These come from a wonderful Etsy shop named "Out Of The Blue" and this shop is filled with beautiful, unique things. Out Of The Blue sent me one that says "Faith" on it and I just love it.

This has been my first year having a child in school and she has had a wonderful teacher. If your child has had a good teacher this year then maybe you should think about saying thank you with a gift for National Teachers Day. Teachers are worn out by the end of the year and what better way to get them through the last few weeks than to say "THANK YOU".

When did you open your Etsy shop? I first opened my Etsy shop in June 2007.

Can you tell us a little about yourself? I live in Aransas Pass, Texas with my husband Kevin and my two young children Shelby and Kolby. I made a leap-of-faith escape from the corporate world in December 2006 and never looked back. I always dreamed of having a more creative career that would give me the flexibility to spend more time with my family...thus Out of the Blue was born!

Can someone tell you what word they want on the dictionary pieces? Yes, absolutely! My dictionary necklaces and rings are totally customizable. If I can find the customers word of choice in one of my old dictionaries then I am happy to make it for them.

What is your favorite item in your shop? Honestly, I'd have to say that the dictionary jewelry is one of my favorite items right now because I love being able to give my customers a truly one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that fits their personality. Another favorite item is my compass cuff links. I get so many orders from brides that want to give them as gifts to their future husband or groomsmen and it is such an honor to have my jewelry play a part on such a momentous occasion.
