Giveaway by Santa's Gift Shoppe (this giveaway is now closed)

Anyone thinking about Christmas yet? I have been and just the name of this shop will get you thinking about it. I found Santa's Gift Shoppe because of the BEAUTIFUL decorative tiles she has in her shop. Santa's Gift Shop sent me the one pictured below. Isn't it beautiful?

When I opened the package from Santa's Gift Shoppe it had a very yummy surprise attached. Along with the tile she sent a recipe for Chocolate Peanut Clusters. OK.....thinking about Christmas yet?

I also love, love , love the adorable aprons she carries in her shop. I have one pictured below but you need to take a good look in her store.

Let's learn more about this fun shop:

When did you open your Etsy Shop? I joined in Feb.2010 but did not open for business until the end of April 2010.

Can you tell me a little about you & your shop? I am a very blessed woman. I have the best supportive husband, & 5 wonderful grown children. I'm passionate about life, people, past, present & future. I love anything Christmas that can put that spirit into your heart all year long. (I start watching Christmas movies in July!) I love to bake anything & make homemade jams (about 300 a yr & 15 different blends) I've won 1st place in the Fair for most all of them. I love doing Family History & finding the roots that make us who we are.

My Etsy Shop is a reflection of the love I have for my favorite things in life...Beautiful Italian Stones with heart warming messages, fun & sassy aprons to make baking even more fun (especially the matching mommy/daughter ones) Jewelry to us feel beautiful, Home decor items to beautify our homes to become a place of warmth & refuse from the world.

What inspires you?
The whole world inspires me but being that my background was in Fashion/Interior Design..I would have to say Colors really inspire me, photography of anything..a recipe..an inspirational saying or quote..customers...creative people...crafts.

Do you take custom orders? Yes..I am always open to new ideas. Some of my best inspirations have been from customers...I also try to give customers the best service possible & even put unexpected little somethings in their pkgs. Sometimes it's clips..

Giveaway by Domestically Green (this giveaway is now closed)

OK, I'm just going to tell you now that Domestically Green has me hooked and these reusable swiffer pads!!! Sampler Village (since I know you read this), you need to get ahold of this shop because these things are amazing! Did I tell you I'm hooked?

Domestically Green sent me 3 of these to try out and before I could even get them out of the package my kids were begging to clean because they have monkey's on them. Now if you are a mom you know that anything that gets your kids excited to clean is something you want to have.

OK, I'm about to be totally embarrassed but I want to show you how much dog hair this thing picked up off of a floor that looked clean.

Can you believe that? Let me just say that I will not be buying the ones from the store anymore and these are even fun and colorful. For $10 you get 3 of these and when they are dirty you just throw them in the wash and reuse them.

Let's see what Domestically Green has to say about their shop:

When did you open your Etsy shop? I opened my shop in August 2009

Can you tell me a little about yourself? I am a stay at home mom to 3 little kids. Before I had kids I was a CPA and after my 2nd was born, my husband and I decided it was best for our family for me to stay home and raise our kids. That was when I started to look for ways to save money and also ways for our family to be more green. It was amazing how different I looked at everything, including our planet, after our kids were born. Part of saving money and going green included switching to reusable handmade products - wool dryer balls, swiffer pads, reusable snack bags, etc. We've also gone mostly paper towelless here as well and I'm hoping to start selling some reusable paper towels in my store at some point too.

Can you tell my readers about your swiffer pads? My reusable swiffer pads are designed to be used with a swiffer duster mop (or pledge grab-it mop). They are made of 2 layers - one is a cotton flannel in a cool design and the other side is a coordinating soft fleece. Both of these fabrics work wonders at sweeping up loose crumbs, dust, hair, etc. Think of babies crawling around on the floor in fleece or flannel pants....their knees are usually covered so quickly with what they "sweep" up as they are crawling around. These are great because you no longer have to buy boxes of disposable pads that just get one use and end up in the trash. I've had a set of reusable swiffer pads that I made about 2 years ago that are still going strong! And to give you an idea of how often they are used - I'm a swiffer freak because I've had crawling babies for almost 4 years straight now and my entire house is hardwood floors!

We are hooked on dryer balls in our home, can you explain them to my readers? My wool dryer balls are made from 100% wool yarn. They contain no chemicals or hazardous materials. They are about the size of a tennis ball and are felted a few times during the process. You can use as little as 2 dryer balls in your dryer at a time, but I have found them to much more effective when you have 6-8 balls in your dryer. As the balls are circulated in the dryer, they separate your clothes to allow the warm air from the dryer get to all articles of clothing. The more dryer balls that you add to your dryer, the faster your clothes will dry. In addition, the friction created by the felted wool being rubbed against your clothing helps to cut down on static cling and soften your clothes. The more dryer balls that you add to your dryer, the softer your clothes get.

I love the wool dryer balls because there are no chemicals in them (like dryer sheets - that can irritate sensitive skin or leave a film of build-up on your lint screen) and they work great with cloth diapers as well!

Buy It - If you have bought any of the ones disposable ones from the store then you know that you are saving a bundle by using these reusable ones.

Win It - Domestically Green is giving away a set of these amazing swiffer pads to one of my readers in your choice of print from their shop. This giveaway is open to my readers in the US and Canada.

Giveaway By Wild Poppy Shoppe (this giveaway is now closed)

Jessica from Wild Poppy Shoppe contacted me asking if I would host a giveaway for her. Jessica has a BEAUTIFUL shop full of color and fun things.

Honestly I don't even think I could pick a favorite in her shop because there are so many wonderful things. Jessica and her husband opened this shop to raise money to adopt a child so please take time to look through all she has to offer.

Let's learn about Wild Poppy Shoppe:

When did you open your Etsy shop? March of this year.
Can you tell me a little about yourself and why you started your shop? I am married to my favorite guy in the entire world and get to hang out with our two sweet boys while creating vintage inspired silk flowers and jewelry. My hubby is a youth pastor and worship leader at our church. Together we hope to live a life that is passionate, purposeful, and full of adventure. I have always wanted to use my creativity for something big, so in this season of our lives opening an Etsy shop was just what we needed to get us one step closer to our dream while allowing me to pursue the many ideas swimming around in my head that take form in flower, stone, or wire. We are raising money for international adoption, and are in the process of figuring out which country we will go through to find our next child! My husband and I met in Hawaii while doing international missions work and love experiencing other cultures, so we can’t wait to not only adopt our precious child but incorporate their culture into our lives, weaving our stories together forever. There are so many children without families world wide and we are moved to not only grow our family through adoption but do what we can for as many of those precious kids as possible. We’ve had the privilege of working at a special needs orphanage in China and plan to keep going back and bring others with us to experience a life changing time of serving some of the most amazing kids we’ve ever met!

Do you take custom orders? Yes- I just finished working with a bride on a custom order for a trio of silk hair flowers for a safari theme wedding!

What makes you smile? Hearing my boys laughing and playing together, they are 1 & 3 and becoming the best of friends; waking up in a different country; being asked out on a date by my husband!

Buy It - Wild Poppy Shoppe has a special for the month of June. With any $50 purchase or more you get a FREE pair of wired wrapped vintage faux pearl earrings.

Win It - Wild Poppy Shoppe is giving away this amazing flower necklace pictured above. They have been kind enough to leave this open to ALL my readers including international readers.

Fay Moose Art sent this amazing shirt you see pictured here on the cutest little boy in the whole wide world. This shirt is so bright and colorful and sooooo much fun. Giveaway by Sweetly Done (this giveaway is now closed)

Today I would like to introduce you to a shop named Sweetly Done. If you look at the picture below you will know why I had to contact this shop. Isn't this just unbelievable? Sweetly Done was kind enough to send me the Princess Set pictured below. They are just beautiful!

If you want to be the coolest mom on the block then you need to make a cake or cupcakes using these. Each set includes 12 pieces of these beautiful toppers. Just think of how talented everyone will think you are. ;)

Let's find out about Sweetly Done:

When did you open your Etsy shop? We signed up with Etsy in January of 2010, and then started selling our fondant toppers in March.

Can you tell my readers a little about you and your shop? We are a husband and wife team. Wife: I’m Alison and I started cake decorating when I was in high school, I have never taken a class, not even the Wilton classes, I have just been blessed with a talent of creating tasty things out of sugar. Husband: I’m Michael, currently I am a medical student studying to be a Physical Therapist. Honestly, my wife roped me into this but I am having a lot of fun, she is the sugar creative one and I’m the one who deals with everything else. We are both new to Etsy and love it; our shop currently sells Handmade Custom Fondant Cupcake and Cake toppers.

How far in advance should someone order the toppers? We prefer at least two weeks notice for all orders. The Toppers that you or any customer will order are not just sitting around a shelf somewhere, after an order has been placed and paid for we start work right away creating your toppers. Once they are created they need a few days to dry and then a few days shipping, and so we prefer two weeks.

How long do the toppers last and can you freeze them? Our fondant toppers will last up to 12 months if they are stored properly. To store them properly they need to be kept in an airtight container out of direct sunlight. There is no need for the fridge or freezer, this will discolor the fondant. Also, in each order there is a reminder about storage, instructions and a small bag of royal icing just in case shipping is not kind to your toppers

Do you take custom orders? We do take custom orders! Just convo us.

Buy It - Forget the cake from the bakery and make some special handmade with mommy love cupcakes this year.

Win It - One of my very lucky readers will win this fabulous Fun In The Summer pictured above. This giveaway is open to my readers in the US only.

How To Win:

Mandatory Entry (this must be done before you can gain any extra entries) - Visit Sweetly Done and tell me your favorite item in their shop.

Giveaway by Star Creek Creations! (this giveaway is now closed)

OK, the shirt my daughter is wearing below has to be one of the cutest little girls shirts I have ever seen! Do you see that it's a hedgehog? Oh my is my little one in love with this shirt and so am I.

When I found Star Creek Creations I totally fell in love with this shirt and the Planet Green shirt. These shirts are so unique and oh soooooo cute. They also have very cute boys shirts.

Let's learn about Star Creek Creations:

When did you open your Etsy shop? I opened my Etsy shop this year at the beginning of March.

How long have you been making children's clothing? I have always loved crafty type things, but didn't venture into making any type of clothing until after my daughter was born (she is 17 months old now). I started designing and putting appliques on shirts for her to wear, people started asking if I could make things for them, and because so many people were interested, I decided to start my Etsy shop.

What sizes of clothing do you make? I can design and applique any size shirt, but have the most fun doing things for babies and kids. I have done several shirts for adults, and can always do so again if someone wants something, but my main focus is on children's items.

Do you take custom orders? Absolutely!! I don't have anything listed "in stock" on my shop at all. If customers want a design I have listed, then I allow them to choose their fabric and sometimes the shirt color. I also get a lot of requests for designs that I haven't done yet. When that happens, I design what they are looking for, and then name the design after the child it is being purchased for. That is why my shirt designs on my Etsy shop are listed as things like "The Aubrey" or "The Mason".
Buy It - You will not be disappointed with this shop! These shirts are well done and just so cute.
Win It - Star Creek Creations is giving away to one of my readers a girls monogrammed t-shirt in your choice of size, letter and fabric. This giveaway is open to my readers in the US and Canada only.

How To Win:

Mandatory Entry (this must be done before you can gain any extra entries) - Visit Star Creek Creations and tell me your favorite item in their shop.
