How did you start making capes? When my husband and I had our last child, we decided I should stop teaching for a few years and stay home with the children. I wanted to still bring in a little bit of extra income and give back to the charity that could potentially provide help for our child so I decided to try my hand at sewing. My heart goes out to every child going through any type of medical treatment and how much strength they have from it all. They are all little heroes in my mind. Thus, was born the name "Everybody's Hero™."
There are over 147 million orphans in the world and many of these precious angels have special needs. These are hidden treasures just waiting to be found and loved.

Can you tell me a little about yourself and why you started your shop? I am married to my favorite guy in the entire world and get to hang out with our two sweet boys while creating vintage inspired silk flowers and jewelry. My hubby is a youth pastor and worship leader at our church. Together we hope to live a life that is passionate, purposeful, and full of adventure. I have always wanted to use my creativity for something big, so in this season of our lives opening an Etsy shop was just what we needed to get us one step closer to our dream while allowing me to pursue the many ideas swimming around in my head that take form in flower, stone, or wire. We are raising money for international adoption, and are in the process of figuring out which country we will go through to find our next child! My husband and I met in Hawaii while doing international missions work and love experiencing other cultures, so we can’t wait to not only adopt our precious child but incorporate their culture into our lives, weaving our stories together forever. There are so many children without families world wide and we are moved to not only grow our family through adoption but do what we can for as many of those precious kids as possible. We’ve had the privilege of working at a special needs orphanage in China and plan to keep going back and bring others with us to experience a life changing time of serving some of the most amazing kids we’ve ever met!
