Let's learn a little about Melissa Woods:

When did you open your Etsy shop? I opened my shop November 24th, 2008. A customer of mine told me to check it out because I had hired 2 different people to make an orderable site and they never finished it and went out of business.

How did you start making jewelry? I started making jewelry when I was 13 years old. My mom got me a bead loom kit and I mastered it in a year. When I was 16 I got a wire working kit from my mom's best friend Christy for my birthday. It had a book, needle nose pliers, cutters and coated wire, and I never put it down, I am 26 now.



Do you take custom orders? I do take special orders, any design can me made with different colors or metals. It could take me a week to a month to get it done with shows and other orders. I do not like to recreate other people's jewelry, I only do special orders that pertain to my style of jewelry.

What is your favorite item in your shop? I love everything in my shop! Everything I make I would personally use or wear myself, I am just glad people like what I make. I personally love for jewelry all the anodized aluminum the colors and wearablity is amazing. I love my jewelry hangers, I try to take good photos but the photos really do not give them justice. The vertical Design Silver 20 Hook Jewelry Hanger is my favorite of all the jewelry hangers and that's why it's the item I will giveaway.
